Day 01: Kochi
On arrival at Kochi Airport / Ernakulam station / Kottayam station,Kerala Tour, India check-in the hotel.

Day 01: Trivandrum - Somatheeram
Arrive in Trivandrum, (Thiruvananthapuram), Kerala's capital city and proceed to Somatheeram, 20 km

Day 04: Alappuzha/Alleppey - Kumarakom
Arrive in Kumarakom on the shores of Lake Vembanad. Beautiful countryside, and a haven for birds.
After breakfast, take a kettuvellam (long boat) ride around the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary.
Post lunch or late afternoon, drive to Mararikulam, an hour from Kumarakom.

Day 05: Mararikulam
Arrive in Mararikulam and check into resort.
A picturesque fishing village on the Malabar Coast, its quiet and laidback lifestyle is ideal for a very restful holiday. Enjoy parasailing and windsurfing at the lovely beach, try the ayurvedic spa, or simply stroll up to the local fisherfolk and watch them weave fine handicrafts from coir.

Day 06: Mararikulam - Vythiri
After breakfast, depart for Vythiri in Wayanad, 315 km.
Take a break from the sea and visit the hills of North Kerala. Vythiri is picture perfect, with tea bushes carpeting the cascading hills of the Western Ghats. Its thick tropical forests and rich culture are all waiting to be explored.

Day 07 Vythiri
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing - Pakshipathalam, Menmutty Waterfalls, Kanthapara Waterfall, Chethalayam Waterfalls.

Day 08: Vythiri - Bekal
After breakfast, proceed for Bekal, Kasargod district, 190 km.
Arrive in Bekal. Check into hotel.
Bekal has Kerala's largest fort and affords a view of Kanhangad, Pallikare, Kottikulam and Uduma. The majestic fort sweeps down to the lovely beach to meet the waters of the Arabian Sea. The beach is illuminated and has an exclusive walkway for long walks along the coast.

Day 09: Bekal
After breakfast, you may spend the day as you wish, or visit Kappil and Pallikere beaches, Valiyaparamba, Chandragiri Fort and Ananthapura Lake temple.

Elephanta Caves - The rock-cut Hindu shrines at Elephanta, an island 6 miles across the harbor provide electrifying glimpses of Indian sculpture that dates back to 7th century. Huge panels depict scenes from the Hindu mythology relating to Lord Shiva, the central one being the most imposing one - a five meter bust of the God, represents his three aspects as creator, preserver and destroyer. Motor-launch takes about an hour to reach the island where the caves are located.

Mumbai has no recorded ancient past. Mumbai 's colonial legacy is the Gateway of India was built to commemorate the royal visit of George V and Queen Mary in 1911. The highlights of Mumbai are Prince of Wales Museum built to commemorate George V's first visit to India in 1905 and houses collections of Indian sculpture, miniature paintings and Nepalese and Tibetan art, Flora Fountain, St. Thomas Cathedral, Crawford Market, Chor Bazaar (Thieves' market), Marine Drive, Malabar Hills, Hanging Gardens & Kamla Nehru Park. Day 03: Mumbai - Cochin - Munnar
After breakfast transfer to domestic airport for flight to Cochin.

Day 04: Munnar
After breakfast car at disposal to explore Munnar.

Munnar - Largely covered by tea plantations, this little hill resort offers awe-inspiring scenery. Situated at an altitude of 1525 metres, this town, 135 km from Cochin, has a local invigorating climate. The surroundings are fragrant with extensive tea and cardamom plantations. Periyar Wildlife KeralaDay 05: Munnar - Periyar Drive 110 Kms
After breakfast drive to Periyar. On arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon boat cruise to visit Periyar Sanctuary.

Periyar - Sprawling over an area of 777 sq. km, this wildlife sanctuary has about 35 tigers and leopards. However, sighting a tiger in Periyar is not so easy and considered to be a fortune for one out of thousand. The park encompasses a 26 sq. km artificial lake and is the home of sambars, wild boars, elephants and antelopes which can be occasionally seen on the banks of the river during a boat cruise. Periyar, otherwise, blessed by nature has enormous tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations and has luxuriant greenery. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Periyar - Kumarakom Drive 114 Kms
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast enjoy backwater cruise Kottayam to Alleppey.
Boat Cruising on the backwaters of Kerala is one of the most exclusive experiences. The boats cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes and travel along narrow shady canals providing glimpses of small settlements on the narrow land - shops, schools and trading on boats and flourishing rice fields. These canals are well connected between Kottayam - Alleppey - Changancherry - Quilon and Kumarakom on the edge of Asthamudi Lake. The delightful backwaters of Kerala begin from this picturesque town.

Day 12: Cochin - Mumbai Flight
Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin - commercial and trade center of Kerala, it is one of the world's finest natural harbors. Cochin (Kochi) is a gateway for Kerala and is famous for Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace, St. Francis Church, Wellington Island, Bolghatty Island, Chinese Fishing nets and Jewish Synagogue. Cruising on the backwaters provides glimpses of the rural life, fine view of the harbor and three islands.

Later transfer to Cochin airport in time to connect flight for Mumbai. On arrival, transfer straight to International Airport in time to board flight for onward destination on Day 13.

Day 01: Cochin - Periyar
Arrive in Cochin and proceed to Periyar by road 120 km / 05 hrs.
Periyar in Thekkady district spans approximately 780 sq. km and is one of the 27 Tiger reserves in India. Herds of elephants, bison, wild bears and a variety of other wildlife are also found in profusion here.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel.
Evening at leisure or visit the Tribal Heritage Museum and tribal village on the periphery of the National Park.

Day 02: In Periyar
After breakfast, proceed for a boat ride on Lake Periyar.
Post lunch, visit a spice plantation or take a three-hour guided trek into the forest

Note: You may take up a tiger trail between one to three days through the Periyar forest, and the duration of your trip will extend accordingly. You can even opt for a day-long guided hiking and rafting program.

Day 03: Periyar - Kumarakom
Depart early morning for Kumarakom by road, 185 km / 04 hours.
Kumarakom is Kerala's most visited location, a clutch of islands on Lake Vembanad, and the backdrop of the Booker Prize winning novel, "The God of Small Things"
Check-in at the hotel.
Enjoy a sunset cruise on Lake Vembanad in the evening.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: In Kumarakom
After breakfast, visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which spans 14 acres off the banks of Lake Vembanad. Look out for waterfowls, cuckoo, owls, egrets, herons, water ducks, parrots, teal, larks, flycatchers and wood beetle. The Siberian Cranes visit the sanctuary during winter.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 05: Kumarakom - Silent Valley
After breakfast, drive to Mukkali, 23 km from Silent Valley, and approximately 230 km from Kumarakom.
Check into Forest Department Rest House. It is possible to trek all the way into the forest or get up to Sairandhiri by a jeep and trek up the rest of the way.
Silent Valley is at the core of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, with virgin forests that have evolved over the last 50 million years. An undulating landscape cloaked in thick layers of green make the Silent Valley a trekker's paradise. Rare orchids, plants and animals, including the lion-tailed macaque, wild elephants, Nilgiri langur, butterflies and hundreds of species of other insects thrive on the Kundali Hills.

Day 06: In Silent Valley
Post breakfast, take a guided tour of the Silent Valley through the numerous treks and look out for some of the 26 species of endangered mammals, 120 species of avifauna, 11 species of snakes, 19 species of amphibians, and nine species of lizards in the park. The gigantic Kattualying wild tree is also unique to this forest.

Day 07: Silent Valley - Wayanad
After breakfast, proceed for Wayanad (Kalpetta), 150 km
Wayanad is a highland district with very charming scenery and exciting adventure opportunities like trekking, rock climbing, rafting and bird watching. Its natural attractions include the Chembra Peak, Edakkal Cave, Kuruva Island, Lakkidi, Pookot Lake, Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, Kanthanpara Waterfalls and Soochippara Waterfalls.
Arrive in Kalpetta and check into hotel.
Relax in the afternoon or explore any of the nearby natural attractions - Chembra Peak, Neelimala, Meenmutty falls, Sentinel Rock falls and Banasura Sagar Dam.

Day 08: In Wayanad
After breakfast, leave for Kuruva Island on the Kabani River and Pakshipathalam in Mananthamavady.

After lunch and rest, depart in time to catch the sunset cruise around Cochin Harbour This two-hour cruise from the national waterway 3 cruises past the Bolghatty Palace on the Bolghatty Island and the Willingdon Island. Tea and snacks are served on the cruise.

Day 02: Cochin - Kumarakom
After breakfast, depart for Kumarakom, 65 km.

14 km from Kottayam, Kumarakom is a cluster of tiny islands on the Vembanad Lake. This verdant village supports a wide variety of flora and fauna, and the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to a variety of local and migratory birds like the Siberian stork. The lake is also known for the abundance of marine and freshwater fish species, especially 'Karimeen' and shrimps.

On arrival, check into hotel and relax with an Ayurvedic massage Late afternoon, take a canoe cruise around the Bird Sanctuary.
Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: In Kumarakom
After breakfast, board your houseboat for a cruise around the Vembanad Lake.
Lunch, tea and dinner are served aboard the houseboat.
Indulge in activities like boating, fishing, windsailing and water skiing.
The cruise takes you to Kottayam where you may visit the churches.

Day 04: Kumarakom - Alleppey - Kovalam
Houseboat reaches Alleppey in the morning.
After breakfast, board a kettuvellam, or a long houseboat for experiencing the lifestyle of the locals as it anchors at preferred spots where you can hop off to experience the life style of the locals - toddy tapping, fishing, coir-making and prawn farming are still practiced in conventional ways in these villages. Also visit the local temples and a village farm house.
After the kettuvellam ride, drive to Kovalam.

Day 06: In Kovalam
After breakfast, head for the lovely beach where you may indulge in kayaking, swimming or water skiing.
Post lunch, drive to Cape Comorin and see the beautiful Padmanabhapuram Palace and the Archaeological Museum.

Day 07: Kovalam - Trivandrum
